Program
The course, starting from an analysis of the photosynthetic process in leaving organisms, aims at providing an overview of current approaches to the production of energy by harvesting solar light. These approaches are generally indicated as artificial photosynthesis and have in common water oxidation with production of oxygen, while the released electrons can be exploited for the production of hydrogen or CO2 reduction. During the course, the different methodological approaches will be illustrated with emphasis on photocatalytic methods, photoelectrochemical and photovoltaic approaches.
