At the end of each year students must present an Annual Report on their activity of the past year.

At the end of the second year, students will give a seminar on their research activity to the Academic board of the School, in order to show that their research activity is sufficiently advanced. 

Suggestions for delivering a good scientific presentation

The scientific talk, like the scientific paper, is part of the scientific communication process. A good Ph D student must be able to deliver a well organized, well delivered scientific talk. Now that you're in graduate school, there is no avoiding the inevitable. At some point you  will be asked to present your research findings to others. Public speaking is an art. Some people are great at it, others less so. The good news is that many of the necessary skills can be learned.
