Course objectives
The course will deal with the description of selected metallic materials and technologies used in aerospace industry. The first part refers to the description of titanium alloys characterized by high relative strength and superplastic forming. Advanced processing methods will also be addressed. The second part is devoted to nickel-based superalloys used in aeroengines and methods used to improve their creep and oxidation resistance.
