Course objectives
The lessons intend to give an overview of neutron science technology and scattering techniques.
At first, the main elements of neutron science technology form the properties of the neutrons down to their detection through their production and delivery will be presented.
Afterward, students will be introduced to theory of neutron scattering at the base of all
experimental techniques. The different scattering techniques will be then discussed in relation with their main applications.
The goal is to give to the students the basis of neutron scattering science in order to let them
discover advantages and potential for their own research.- Oggetto:
Course delivery
The lessons will be divided into 12 hours (2 hours for 6 consecutive working days) in which the fundamentals of neutron spectroscopy, the techniques and principles of data analysis will be discussed.
